FAITH

Every Sunday afternoon members of our church go out into the community to share their faith.  They meet for a time of training, and then go visit people in our community.

Below you will find an outline of the FAITH presentation that our church members share.  If you are interested in joining a FAITH team and learning how to share your faith, then let us know through our contacts page or by e-mail.

If you would like to know more about what we share and how to go to heaven, then read on.

FAITH is an acronym that explains how a person can go to heaven.  It all begins with a question.  In your personal opinion, what do you understand it takes for a person to go to heaven?  Not sure?  Read on and find out what the Bible says

F is for forgiveness.  You cannot have heaven and eternal life without God's forgiveness.

In Him (Jesus), we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Ephesians 1:7

A is for available.  God's forgiveness is available for all.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who ever would believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.    John  3:16

But God's forgiveness is not automatic.

Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter into the kingdom of heaven.  Matthew 7:21

I is for impossible.  It is impossible for God to allow sin into heaven.

God is love, (see John 3:16), but God is also just.   Judgment is without mercy.  James 2:13

People are sinful.    For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:23

So how can we who are sinful enter into a place where God allows no sin?  We must turn.

T is for turn.  To turn is to change direction.  In the Bible turn means repent

We must turn from our sins and our selfishness.   Unless you repent, you will perish.  Luke 13:3

We must turn to Jesus and Him alone.

Christ died according to scripture and He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to scripture.  I Corinthians 15:3-4

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  Romans 10:9

H is for Heaven

Some of the benefits of heaven begin here.

I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly.  John 10:10

Of course the benefits of heaven are hereafter as well.

And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am there you may be also.  John 14:3

Do you want to have forgiveness for your sins and know that you can go to heaven when you die?  Then pray this prayer.  There is nothing special about the prayer, in fact it is meaningless unless you mean it.

Dear Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and that You arose from the grave.  I now ask You to forgive me of my sins and to save my soul.  Amen.

Now tell someone.  Anyone, and everyone.  We would love to know of your decision.  Just visit the contacts page and tell us that you prayed and asked Jesus to forgive you.  We will pray with you that Jesus will make your life all that it can be.
